Labour has come out blazing about this, so that will do down well with the electorate this week, along with rejoining the EU, and sucking up to the French, Labour knows how to make itself popular.

Surfer Tom

Of course he is trying to get votes, or as they say he is making political capital out of it, but his timing is dodgy, he has waited until ULEZ has begun in London, and production has started of electric cars at the old Vauxhall car plant near Ellesmere Port, and not long after TATA has decided to build a battery factory in Somerset, but Ford are peed off about it, because they have invested money in this country, on the basis that the ban on new diesel and petrol cars will begin in 2030, so maybe he should have announced it earlier, like perhaps last year.

This is the first bit of decency that has come from his gob!! IT'S common sense this country CANNOT meet the targets they were trying to sove thro , SHEER impossibility to convert everyone over to elecky cars was never on the cards ,as for making everyone get rid of their gas boilers and change to theses pumps was in FACT LUDICROUS !! That's another thing that the general public have just NOT got the finances to do it at all. Though what i would to see/hear is an E.U .country POLAND to cease using coal . only because the E.U. IN BRUSSELS HAVE TOLD POLAND TO STOP THE COAL MINING , YET WHAT HAPPENED ????
POLAND TOLD THE E.U. TO GO FORTH AND MULTIPLY ,so you see all this green ,net zero rubbish WILL NEVER WORK . GB.

This Net Zero, Green Crap stuff should have been stopped in April 2020, when the Covid lockdown had started.

If the UK was still in the EU we would have to accept the 2035 date for the banning of petrol and diesel cars. It’s a tad hypocritical for remainers to be criticising the PM for the 2035 date.
The Germans are developing synthetic fuels for ic engined cars. They wouldn’t be investing heavily unless they thought they could be used after 2035.

Gaffer

As in new diesel and petrol fueled internal combustion engined cars are being banned from 2025, but not internal combustion engined cars, powered by carbon neutral fuels, such vehicles would still be able to be bought new after 2025.

Rishi had a hell of a lot to say, I am just taking it all in, he has obviously done his homework, he mentioned just about everything to do with energy.

IF and i say IF, these people are serious about going green and all that it entails , Then why do they not pass a bill in the BIG HOUSE that from the soonest available date EVERY HOUSE .EVERY FACTORY BULING ETC THAT IS BIENG CONNSTRUCTED OR BUILT MUST,MUST HAVE SOLAR PANELS FITTED TO THEIR RESOECTIVE PLACES ,????? Similar with WATER supply each and every house with BARRELS to catch RAIN WATER ??? This would help significantly with the WATER SHORTAGE that will happen in the coming years ???? ALL I ASK IS WHY CAN'T THEY JUST START WITH THAT FOR EXAMPLE ??????
